After fiddling with the settings of my guitar and amp for a while, I got it feeding back a constant tone of about G#, which I could vary by bending the string. We had a small puddle of fairly thick cornflour/water paste sat on a rigid plastic sheet on top of the speaker, held in place at one corner. The results were these impressive moving fingerlike growths.
